The IBF 2018 is collaborating with the peer-reviewed journal Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology. Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology’s mission is to bring all relevant bioengineering and biotechnology areas together on a single platform. Related to the conference, the journal will publish an article collection “IBF 2018” as a Research Topic. Frontiers Research Topic’s articles have high visibility and receive more downloads/citations. Therein, all participants have the opportunity to submit a paper (cf. “Types of submission” below). The paper submission is independent of the “Call for abstracts” where you apply for a talk and/or poster presentation at the IBF 2018.
Types of submission
For the research topic “IBF 2018”, you can submit three different types of papers – [infopopup tag=original-research], [infopopup tag=full-review] or [infopopup tag=mini-review]. An original research article, for example, covers recent own research results and should have a maximum length of 12.000 words including up to 15 figures/tables. For details about the different types of submission, please have a look at the Frontiers Author Guidelines.
All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed in a standardized, fair, and collaborative process. Typically within three months, the authors receive a notification whether their manuscript has been accepted (with minor/major changes) or not.
As Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology is an open-access journal, authors of a manuscript are responsible for an Article Processing Charge. As part of the research topic “IBF 2018” you get a 15% discount. Moreover, many institutions have a publishing agreement with Frontiers and publication might be free of charge for you. You can find the discount/payment details for your institute here.
(Prior abstract submission for the paper is optional)
